Expedition to the (Great) Exhibition

Victorian sisters Alexandra and Bea have got their wires crossed! Alexandra (an explorer) believes she will be preparing young volunteers for a ‘Great Expedition’ to foreign lands. Bea, however, (a collector) knows their young audience shall be attending the 1851 ‘Great Exhibition’. Upon realising their misunderstanding they decide to present a magic lantern show, demonstrating survival tips for a trip to the London extravaganza.

This interactive part-workshop part – performance, combines theatrical games (such as Prince Albert Says and Build a Brunel) with creative activity in an immersive, character-led setting which informs participants about Victorian culture and entertainment.
